Questions

Asked before you had to ask.

Is this real astronomy or just pretty dots?

Real astronomy. Every chart plots up to 2,000 of the brightest stars from the Hipparcos-derived HYG catalog at their true positions for your exact date, time, and place, and our engine is verified against the U.S. Naval Observatory ephemeris. The local time zone — including daylight saving and the hemisphere — is resolved from the location itself, never from your browser.

Why do two nearby dates look almost the same?

Because the real sky works that way: the stars shift by only about one degree per night, so March 14 and March 17 genuinely look like near-twins. What changes night to night is the orientation and which stars have risen or set — and across months the difference is dramatic. Your date, time, and coordinates are printed on the poster, and the chart is computed for that exact instant.

What exactly do I get for the money?

The Star Map ($19): a 300-DPI print-resolution PDF of your design in every size from 12×16 to 24×36 inches, plus a square version and a phone wallpaper — delivered in about 60 seconds, with unlimited free regenerations. The Full Gift ($29) adds a private love page: your map, photos, a letter, an optional countdown reveal, a custom link, and a printable QR card to physically hand over.

I made a typo. Do I have to buy it again?

Never. Regenerations are free and unlimited, forever — wrong date, misspelled name, different style, changed your mind about the heart shape. Fix it and re-download at no charge.

How do I print it?

The PDF is print-shop ready at 300 DPI. Upload it to Walgreens, Staples, CVS, Shutterfly, or any corner print shop, pick your size, and you can be holding it within the hour. Matte paper looks best; the file also frames beautifully behind glass.

Is anything shipped to me?

No — and that’s the point. Everything is digital and instant: your files appear on screen the moment payment completes, on a permanent download page you can bookmark and reopen anytime — and if you leave your email, we send a backup link to that page there too. No waiting 2–3 weeks, no $30 express fees, no blind ordering.

What if I’m not happy?

Perfect or refunded: full refund within 30 days, no questions asked. You keep the kind words.
